This action packed show focuses on the outstanding additions made to Randy Shannon's staff with the hiring of Bill Young and Aubrey Hill. We also discuss what Anthony King was thinking when he gifted NC State a valuable ACC game in Raleigh last weekend and what Miami is doing wrong and doing right thus far in ACC play. Gregg also chides Kartik about having too many jock classes with Aubrey Hill at UF. We don't all major in finance, though sometimes I wish I did. Football, Basketball, strong opinions and a bit of fun on this episode of the Canes Rising Radio Podcast.

On Episode Three of the Canes Rising Radio podcast we take a special look back at the 1987 Undefeated National Champion Miami Hurricanes on the 20th anniversary of their national championship triumph at the Orange Bowl over #1 Oklahoma. Miami defeated four other top ten teams during the course of the 1987 season, despite losing three top nine NFL Draft picks after the 1986 season. Longtime Cane watchers Fernand Amandi and Gregg Rodes join us on the show to share their memories of Walsh, Bratton, Irvin, Blades, Perriman, Stubbs, McDowell and the rest of the Championship Canes of 1987. Among the issues discussed are the low expectations for Miami entering 1987 after losing in the national championship game in 1986, the outright bias of CBS Sports against the Canes in the 1980s and the impact Miami's pro style offense (along with Florida State's innovative offense) had on changing the landscape of College Football. We also briefly look back at Miami's fall from the national rankings in Basketball with a loss to Winthrop over the weekend.
